Marriott International introduces three new brands to Cape Town

Marriott International, Inc je danas najavio planove za izgradnju tri nova hotelska objekta u Cape Townu, u partnerstvu sa Amdec Grupom.

To će biti tri nova hotela u gradu: jedan pod prepoznatljivim brendom kompanije, Marriott Hotels, koji će biti prvi Marriott hotel u Cape Townu; drugi pod luksuznim brendom produženog boravka, Residence Inn by Marriott, prvi za Južnu Afriku; a treći je umjereni lifestyle brend, AC Hotels by Marriott, koji je prvi hotel pod ovim brendom za region Bliskog istoka i Afrike (MEA).


Ova tri planirana razvoja će dodati preko 500 soba ponudi hotelskog smještaja Cape Towna. Dovodeći 189 dodatnih soba u Cape Town, AC Hotel Cape Town na obali će se nalaziti u The Yacht Clubu u okrugu Roggebaai na ulazu u Cape Town Cape Town, dok će na Harbour Archu (trenutni čvor Culemborg), trenutno lokaciji nekoliko velikih građevinskih projekata, bit će mjesto za Cape Town Marriott Hotel Foreshore sa 200 soba i Residence Inn by Marriott Cape Town Foreshore sa 150 soba.

Ova najava je nastavak Marriottovog postojećeg partnerstva sa Amdec grupom, započetog 2015. godine najavom razvoja prva dva brendirana hotela Marriott u Južnoj Africi. Ova dva objekta, koja se nalaze u popularnoj luksuznoj četvrti Melrose Arch u Johanesburgu, trebalo bi da budu otvorena 2018. godine, a to su Johannesburg Marriott Hotel Melrose Arch i Marriott Executive Apartments Johannesburg Melrose Arch.

Ukupna Amdecova investicija u ove razvoje u Kejptaunu i Johanesburgu iznosi preko 3 milijarde rubalja između dva grada, što će imati pozitivne ekonomske rezultate i ogroman uticaj na otvaranje novih radnih mesta.



Novi razvoji podupiru snažnu strategiju rasta kompanije Marriott International u cijeloj MEA regiji, koja je usmjerena na proširenje globalne grupe kao vodeće turističke kompanije kako unutar regije tako i na međunarodnom nivou. Prema Arneu Sorensonu, predsjedniku i glavnom izvršnom direktoru Marriott International, Inc., „Afrika je posebno važna za strategiju širenja Marriott Internationala zbog brzog ekonomskog rasta kontinenta, širenja stanovništva srednje klase i mladih, kao i povećanja međunarodnih letova na kontinent. Sa preko 850 miliona ljudi samo u podsaharskoj Africi, postoje ogromne mogućnosti.”

Planovi Marriott Internationala za rast na kontinentu su impresivni: do 2025. kompanija ima za cilj da proširi svoje trenutno prisustvo u Africi na 27 zemalja, sa preko 200 hotela i oko 37,000 soba.

Predviđeno je da će tokom faze izgradnje biti otvoreno oko 8 000 radnih mjesta vezanih za građevinarstvo. Nakon što hoteli budu završeni, otvorit će se preko 700 novih ugostiteljskih radnih mjesta – 470 u tri nova hotela u Cape Townu i 320 u Johanesburgu.

Cape Town’s importance in the world tourist market has been confirmed in recent years with the ever-increasing visitor numbers to the city.  The addition of further accommodation to meet the growing demand will place the city in an even stronger position as a top global destination.
